The Modern Cloth Nappy: The Practical Choice for Moms Today

I'm happy to be part of this wonderful community of mothers who are addicted to cloth diapers - Modern Cloth Nappying Pinays.  This group is a local online community aimed to promote the use of reusable cloth diapers in the Philippines.  A little over 1 year old, the group now has more than 2,500 members.  Unlike the cloth diapers used by our parents, the modern cloth nappies are anything but primitive or plain.  There are now a lot of choices and for some moms, this can be overwhelming!

The community aims to share the knowledge culled by the members from use, application, trial and error.  The community has grown and now has a spin-off group called MCNP GB (Group Buys) composed of more than one thousand members which exists solely to organize coop / group buys of various mommy and baby products.

On 24 March 2013, the MCNP will be having a Grand EB and Expo to further increase awareness of modern cloth diapers.  The whole-day event will begin with family activities in the morning and continue on with educational talks about Modern Cloth Nappies and other parenting issues in the afternoon. There will also be an Expo of mommy and baby products which will be open to members in the morning and to the public after lunch.

Unfortunately, I won't be around for the Expo as my family will be enjoying some R&R in Boracay.  I do hope to help to promote this event through this blog carnival.  There are a lot of MCNP members who are experts in cloth diapering and have their own blogs so we would like to share and spread the knowledge and encourage moms to switch once they discover the ease of using modern cloth diapers.  This carnival is open to everyone who would like to share their thoughts about any of the following 3 topics:

1. Why Choose Cloth - What made you decide to use cloth instead of disposables, what factors influenced your decision, why you would recommend cloth to others 
2. What Choices Do I Have - The modern cloth nappy offers a lot of choices to consumers, what are these choices, different systems and styles 
3. Choosing the Right Nappy for the Right Time - Tell us about your experiences in cloth nappying, what do you prefer to use overnight, what do you prefer to use when going out, etc.
