It's time for Expo Mom 2013

It's that time of the year again!  As a mompreneur with a full-time job, this blog and 2 kids, I am very picky with the bazaars I join.  Ever since I started Mama.Baby.Love, one bazaar that I have joined year after year is Expo Mom.  What I love about it is that it is very target-specific - and the audience is my market.

Expomom 2012, sharing about baby wearing
Last May 2012, Expo Mom's theme was the Best of Modern Motherhood and it was during this time that the Filipino Association of Babywearers was launched!  This year's Expo Mom has another interesting theme: #MOMTUITION.

Do have that niggling feeling when it comes to your kids, especially when something is not right?  Don't ignore it!  As fellow SoMom Kris de Guzman shares, "I think every mom has a connection with her child, perhaps we were bonded together, in utero for 9 months, and now there is that invisible bond."

Because of information overload or fear of inconveniencing other people, we, as moms, sometimes ignore our intuition and rely on experts.  Yet, as shared by Judith Orloff, M.D., psychiatrist and author of the New York Times bestseller “Second Sight,” she has seen intuition at work many times, especially among mothers. "Intimately intertwined for nine months, mother and child form a unique bond, allowing the former to tap into the latter’s thoughts and feelings intuitively."

Momtuition is a "superpower" something unique to every mom-child dyad and cannot be felt by another mom in relation to your child.  Hence, whatever you read online (including this blog), in books, by experts - should ALWAYS be considered along with your own experiences in taking care of your child.

I'm excited about Expo Mom 2013 as the organizer, Mommy Mundo, promises to bring together experts to help moms develop and harness our momtuition to its full potential.  At Expo Mom 2013, moms will be reminded to trust their inner voice, listen to their guts, and realize ways of tuning in to this most precious gift as a way of celebrating it!  Mommy Mundo has also prepared a program which will gather influencers to give testimony to the power of mom intuition.

Of course, I'm excited about shopping as well.  I'm also offering some of my popular pieces on sale during the event!  Aside from Mama.Baby.Love, you will find your favorite mompreneurs like Pacquet de Joie (Mamaway), Nursingmom, Celestina&Co., Mustela Philippines, Chubby Cheeks Baby plus more!

Of course, Expo Mom also provides the necessary mom amenities such as a breastfeeding lounge, a diaper changing area, and a play area for young kids. On April 6 and 7 (Saturday & Sunday), visit Expo Mom 2013 at the Rockwell Tent, and find out why moms know best! Gates open at 10am. There is a minimal entrance fee of P30 per person, 100% of registration fees go to the MomShare outreach projects.

To be updated on Expo Mom, join the event page on Facebook.  Meanwhile, Mommy Mundo is offering swag bags to 5 COANM readers who will be attending Expo Mom 2013.  Contest runs from today and ends on 4 April 2013.  Prizes can be picked up at Expo Mom.  Join through Rafflecopter below.
