Why I love Mamaway (an event and a giveaway)

I have been a customer of Mamaway since 2008, when they first came to the Philippines.   They have recently opened their retail store in New Manila, Quezon City and another store is in the pipeline.   One of the owners, Jonie, has become more than a business colleague and is actually the godmother of E.

What I like about Mamaway is that the owners truly want to help you successfully breastfeed and they do this by supporting various classes and breastfeeding events.  In fact, if you have breastfeeding concerns, Jonie will go out of her way to refer you to the right support person or group who can help you succeed.

Even with the available classes in the Metro, Jonie recognized the need for a crash course in breastfeeding for busy mothers.   As their gift to new and/or breastfeeding moms, Mamaway Philippines and MedelaMoms are holding a half-day course - "What to Expect at the Hospital and Beyond".   The 3-hour course will tackle things to expect - from hospital procedures, to your first latch, to what to expect when you bring baby home and when you start working.  This is a free course and will be held on December 1, 2012 from 1pm-5pm.  Snacks will be served by Mommy Treats, EllaEats and TIPCO.  To register, email or call 725-3723 or text 0917-5614366.

Aside from the free class, Mamaway Philippines is holding a raffle here at Chronicles of a Nursing Mom.  If you notice, I own a lot of Mamaway items.  The quality is quite good - I still have and use most of my original Mamaway tops from 2008.  Plus they constantly come up with new designs.  My favorite now is this nursing shirt from their Disney line.  They have also come up a clothing line for kids! Check out the Disney baby line - super cute!   One of our favorite onesies for E is this sleeveless romper from Mamaway.  Because he is always sweaty, we try to dress him in light clothes as much as possible.
